On the web

The web still remembers the Icebloods and the UDL: a 2015 post by Lord Skunk himself, rivals recalling UDL's rule of Mourning, and someone asking by name after Warraxe Iceblood. These are the finds, newest first.

Date Where What it shows
Sep 2024 Retribution forum A rival Shadowbane guild, Warrior Nation, still boasts of beating UDL in its own arena and city.
Jan 30, 2015 Crowfall forum: Undead Lords [Udl] Post by skunk, signed Lord Skunk, Ancient Lich, sharing a video of a UDL 10 vs 10 fight in Shadowbane. A Shipwrecked Pirates veteran answers with pirate trash talk about targeting priests.
Jan 2015 Crowfall forum: UDL Rises Again A player asks whether Warraxe Iceblood is still with UDL; Lord Hillbilly answers that it is Lord Skunk, still around. Another Knight places Skunk on the Eredar realm with Hillbilly, Rayven, Casi, Forsythe, Karma, and Sachant. Old foes recall UDL dominating Mourning, its summer 2003 invasion, its town on UDI, and its pack of centaurs.
Jun 2004 Morloch Wiki Mordkessel, the first city planted on Mourning, destroyed by a UDL-led alliance.
2003 to 2004 Rauko'draug, a Mourning story A UDL member's tale of riding out from the UDL capital on Mourning.

From the Wayback Machine

A search of the Internet Archive in October 2026 turned up the UDL in Origin's own records and on the guild's early websites. Newest first:

Date Archived page What it shows
Mar 2002 UDL Story Board forum Vicious Rumor posting in the guild's roleplay story board.
Dec 2001 UDL officers page The Arch Shadow and Gatekeeper offices written down; the Gatekeeper of the Castle of Bones tracks every squire and their mentor and recommends them for knighting.
Jul 2001 Naergoth's SB Vault interview Before Siege Perilous went live, UDL was on Catskills and "the dominant guild of the shard."
Mar 2001 UDL Ultima Online roster Obsidian Scion and Terror listed among the Ancients, Kanien a Warlord, Samuell the Arch Lich, Zizon the Gatekeeper. Roster last updated January 22, 2001.
Mar 2001 UDL EverQuest member page A UDL member in Norrath named Skunkadelic.
2000 to 2002 UDL events page UDL's tournaments: a 2 on 2 in July 2000, a 3 on 3 in Deceit in September 2000 with live video of the fights (won by Kanien, Nyvia and Mor'Kai), the Siege Olympic Marathon in January 2001, the Gauntlet Challenge in March 2001 (won by Karma and Kanien), the Ascension of the Undead ladder with a 100k gold bounty nobody claimed, and Bloodbath 2002.
Sep 1999 Origin's official guild registry: The Undead Lords The Undead Lords [UDL] on Catskills. Guild master: Obsidian Scion. 24 members, 21 of them veterans. Roster includes Kanien (WarLord), Terror (Ancient Lich), Lector (High Priest), Savante, Scy, OrcSoul, Pepsi, Covenant and Guthwolf. At war with Chaos of Catskills, the ShadowClan Orcs and dozens more. The guild website was then groonesworld.com/UDL.
May 1999 Origin's guild registry front page The Undead Lords featured on the front page of the official UO guild registry.

Still lost: the Dread City call. The "Town Cryer" was Origin's official player newspaper, in the Town Square section of owo.com, where players posted news and calls to arms. Only a few hundred of its pages survive in the archive, mostly from 1999 and later; the search read the guild registry and about a third of the surviving Town Cryer pages without finding the Dread City post. Lord Skunk does not appear by that name on the September 1999 Catskills roster, which may mean he was playing on another shard or under another name at the time.

Have a piece of the history?

If you saved Skunk's Dread City call, an old UDL post, or any screenshot of the Icebloods, post it on the UDL forums or bring it to the Discord.
